Valerie Len Ng MD, PhD

Dr. Ng’s numerous professional responsibilities and activities include Professor Emeritus in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Laboratory Director (including Director of the Transfusion Service) at Alameda Health System/Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. She previously had a 17-year academic career in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at UCSF. Dr. Ng serves on several medical and academic committees, has authored numerous scientific articles, and is a former member of CLIAC. Her major interests are in clinical laboratory medicine and the delivery of essential and high-quality point-of-care testing.
