Valerie E. Armstead MD, FAAP, DABA

Dr. Valerie E. Armstead is a Professor of Anesthesiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Dr. Armstead is experienced in pediatric, cardiovascular, and thoracic anesthesiology, vascular biology/thrombosis, hemostasis, anesthetics as potions or poisons, airway management, and inventions and devices, continuing medical education, and event planning. She has received worldwide recognition for NIH-funded, scientific work and for helping establish standards for airway management devices. Dr. Armstead has been actively involved in the shaping of health and education policies as well as their implementation. Dr. Armstead's latest venture is participating in the promotion of education and research into the medicinal role of cannabis and other alternative therapies in managing a myriad of conditions that impact health and wellness. As a result, she has been selected as the Chief Medical Officer at Pure Genesis, LLC.
