Valentinas Gruzdys BS, PhD

Valentinas Gruzdys is originally from Vilnius, Lithuania. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Chemistry (with concentration in Pharmaceutical Sciences) and doctoral degree in Clinical/Bioanalytical Chemistry from Cleveland State University (CSU). During his research at CSU and the Cleveland Clinic, he developed skills in protein chemistry and characterization, toxicology, and clinical method development and validation.
His clinical interests also include hemostasis and lipid/lipoprotein testing. Valentinas’ past work and enthusiasm for the educational mission of AACC community has also been recognized at AACC Northeast Ohio and National levels through Student Abstract Competition awards as well as a SYCL Domestic Travel Grant. Valentinas is currently enrolled in a clinical chemistry fellowship program at the University of Utah. He enjoys learning more about various aspects of clinical chemistry and cannot wait to make his own contributions to the field after his training.
