Vaishali Patel MD

Dr. Vaishali B. Patel, M.D., is a board-certified physician specializing in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at VCU Health and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She provides expert care for patients with liver and digestive diseases, with clinical interests that include cirrhosis, hepatitis, liver transplantation, and other complex liver disorders.

Dr. Patel earned her medical degree from Seth G. S. Medical College in India, completing her foundational medical education with a focus on broad clinical skills. She then advanced her training in the United States, completing her internal medicine residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Following residency, she pursued specialized training through a Gastroenterology fellowship at VCU Medical Center, where she developed advanced expertise in disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver.
