Uwe Wollina MD

Prof. Dr. Uwe Wollina is head of the Department of Dermatology and Allergology at the Dresden Municipal Hospital. He got his medical education at the Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena. He is a member of several national and international medical societies including the German Society for Dermatology (DDG), the German Society for Botulinum Toxin Therapie (DGBT), the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the International Society of Dermatology, and the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology - to name just a few. He has published 7 books and more than 1800 medical articles (more than 800 articles listed in PUBMED). He is a board member of national and international medical journals and serves as a reviewer for several journals. His major interests are interdisciplinary approaches in psoriasis care, psoriatic arthritis, and nail disease, and the role of adipose tissue in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. He is engaged in patient organizations (German Psoriasis Society - DPB eV).
