Dr. Utpal Bhadra has reached the last step amongst the community of the world’s eminent scientists by getting nominated for different societal fellowships for his pioneer discovery of the Co-suppression mechanism in animals as a co-first author. It was a major foundation pillar for RNA interference technology which got the quickest NOBEL prize after discovery in the history of NOBEL awardees.

Dr. Utpal Bhadra was awarded FRS of Biology and Chemistry (UK) in 2016 His group is one of the top 10 young scientists in the world. He is the first in his country to receive International titles like the FELLOW OF UNESCO AND FELLOW OF AEGIS ( Australia). Dr. Bhadra is the only Indian scientist to have received the Senior Wellcome Trust fellowship from the UK and the Young Investigator fellowship from the Human Frontier of Science program (G8 countries). He was also selected as the EXCELLENT INVESTIGATOR by the French Academy of Science. He has received more than 30 INTERNATIONAL RENOWNED AWARDS IN SCIENCE (See C.V.) in a very short time frame of 56 years.
