Dr. Uri Pinchas Dior is the Director of the Endometriosis Center of the Hadassah Medical Center and a senior surgeon in the Gynecology Department in Hadassah Ein Kerem.
Dr. Dior has completed his medical studies at the Hadassah Hebrew University medical school. He also completed with excellence a Masters's in Public Health. After finishing medical school, Dr. Dior performed his internship at the Hadassah-Medical-Center where he was selected as the outstanding intern of the year.
Dr. Dior proceeded to his training in Obstetrics & Gynecology in the Obstetrics & Gynecology department of Hadassah Ein-Kerem, during which he won several awards recognizing his clinical and research work.
Following this, Dr. Dior relocated to Melbourne, Australia, where he completed the full 2 years fellowship at the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society in Advanced Gynecological Laparoscopy in the most prestigious hospital in Australia- The Royal Women's Hospital, under the guidance of world-leading surgeons. During his fellowship, Dr. Dior performed nearly 1000 surgeries and was trained to operate on the most difficult cases.
Dr. Dior stayed another year in Australia. In this year he continued to operate at the Royal Women's Hospital and enhanced his training with additional training in reproductive medicine.
Upon his return to Israel in September 2018 he established the Endometriosis Center of Hadassah and was appointed as its director. Since his return to Israel, Dr. Dior has performed numerous laparoscopic surgeries for a wide variety of gynecological diseases, some of which were never performed before in Jerusalem.
Dr. Dior is also very active in research and published nearly 40 scientific papers. He has won the most prestigious awards in conferences of the leading associations for gynecological surgery worldwide. Just recently he won, the second year in a row the prize of the Israeli Association of Gynecological Endoscopy for the best research.
Dr. Dior is passionate about treating women who suffer from infertility and gynecological diseases. He provides the most professional and compassionate care and is highly recommended by his many patients.
His research interests are Gynecology, Endometriosis, Pelvic Pain, Advanced Laparoscopy Gynecological Endoscopy, Irregular Bleeding, Laparoscopic Surgery, Uterine Fibroids, and Ovarian Cysts.
