Dr. Uma Nambiar At the helm of affairs at Gimcare Hospital is Dr. Uma Nambiar, a Neurosurgeon, healthcare administrator, and international healthcare consultant with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Former technical advisor to the Minister of Health in Djibouti, she is currently working on projects in Botswana, Sri Lanka, and India in commissioning assistance to hospital projects and as an advisor to healthcare IT firms for domain and usability. She is also a mentor to start-ups in the healthcare IT sector and serves on the board of various corporate hospital groups in Sri Lanka and India.

Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, with fellowships from Mayo Clinic and Neck Enfants’ Malades at Paris, MBA from Faculty of Management Studies at Delhi; Dr. Nambiar, in her illustrious career, has served in various capacities including CEO, Global Hospitals; Regional Director, Fortis Healthcare and CEO, SL Raheja Hospital and Chief of Neurosurgery at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi among others, Passionate about using technology and health informatics for clinical transformation, she has also led many initiatives in Quality of Healthcare having been a lead assessor and trainer for NABH besides being a member of the appeals committee of NABH. She has extensive experience in commissioning, managing, and health process re-engineering of hospitals in India and Africa.
