Ulrich H. W. Beuers MD, PhD

Professor U.H.W. Beuers (1956) has been appointed Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and in particular cholestatic liver diseases, in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Amsterdam (AMC-UvA). As a gastroenterologist and hepatologist, Ulrich Beuers is primarily interested in the treatment of patients with chronic cholestatic (associated with impaired bile secretion), autoimmune, and metabolic liver diseases. His research focuses on the pathophysiology and therapy of cholestatic liver diseases.
