Ulla Hedegaard MScPharm, PhD

Ulla Hedegaard is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark. She is responsible for the pharmacist students' internship course and teaches in rational pharmacotherapy, pharmacology, patient communication, and clinical pharmacy.

Dr. Hedegaard graduated as a pharmacist along with an MSc degree in human biology from Copenhagen University in 1991. In 2015 she obtained a Ph.D. in health sciences at University of Southern Denmark for her work on clinical pharmacist interventions to support adherence to thrombopreventive therapy.

She has been working with medicines information for many years, both within a hospital pharmacy and at the department of clinical pharmacology. Since 2007 she has worked part-time at the University of Southern Denmark and participated in the establishment of pharmacist education courses at the university back in 2010. In 2018 she became a full-time employed associate professor at the university.
