Tze Kin Lau MBChB, MMed, MD, MSc, FRCOG, FHKCOG, FHKAM

Dr. TK LAU obtained his basic medical degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1988, a Master degree from the National University of Singapore in 1993, and then the MD degree from the CUHK in 1999. After completing his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, his career has been focused in Fetal Medicine and prenatal diagnosis.

Dr. Lau joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the CUHK as clinical academic staff in 1994. Before he left the department in 2011 to start his private practice, he was a Professor and the Chief-of-service of the department, and the Head of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit.

Dr. Lau’s research interests include various aspects of prenatal diagnosis and therapy, obstetric ultrasound and fetal medicine. His recent interest has been focused on non-invasive prenatal diagnosis and medical genetics. He has published over 370 papers in refereed and indexed journals and has been invited speakers in many international meetings.

Dr. Lau has a special interest in teaching and medical education and has organized many training courses and conferences. He has a particular passion for basic ultrasound training and education. He has been a Board Member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology between 2010-1014.
