Tuomas O. Kiviniemi MD, PhD, FESC

Tuomas Kiviniemi is an interventional cardiologist in the Heart Center, Turku University Hospital, and PI in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku. He worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School 2018-19. He founded the CAREFIB consortium. Tuomas does research in Clinical Trials and Cardiology as well as translational research on the cell biology of atrial fibrillation. Their current projects are the 'LAA-CLOSURE trial' and 'CARE BANK' study.
