Troy Michael Labounty MD

Dr. Troy LaBounty is a cardiologist at the Chelsea Health Center and the Cardiovascular Center, where he is a clinical assistant professor of medicine and radiology. As a cardiologist, he enjoys working with patients to prevent, diagnose, and treat heart disease. And he believes very strongly that a patient and their doctor should work together as a team to manage and treat health issues.

Dr. LaBounty completed his training at the University of Michigan, and was a faculty member at the Cornell Medical College in New York City, and subsequently at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. As a skilled reader of both echocardiography and cardiac computed tomography, Dr. LaBounty’s main research interests include reducing the radiation dose from cardiac procedures, evaluating what causes plaque to develop, and using cardiac imaging to guide advanced cardiac procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve implantations.
