Dr. Trina Chang, MD, MPH, served as the clinical lead on the depression integration workgroup for Partners Population Health Management. In addition, she is the director of community-based studies at the Massachusetts General Hospital Depression Clinical and Research Program, an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, and a staff psychiatrist at the MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center. She has served as the consulting psychiatrist in a depression collaborative care pilot project at several primary care practices at Partners. In addition, she has worked closely with primary care providers on a psychosocial intervention for patients with diabetes through an Innovation Fellowship with the Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care and through K23 research funding from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. Her areas of interest include the interface between psychiatry and primary care, the treatment of depression in underserved populations, and the development and implementation of innovative psychosocial or system-based interventions to improve mood and lifestyle management.
