Trenton Brown, MOT, OTR/L, ATP, CGCP, CFPS, BCG, is an occupational therapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience across skilled nursing, transitional care, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health settings. He holds an AOTA Board Certification in Gerontology (BCG) and is a RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), along with advanced certifications in fall prevention and geriatric care.
Brown completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Utah, where his graduate thesis focused on joint arthroplasty. He currently serves as an Assistant Office Director with the Department of Health and Human Services, where he focuses on developing and operating quality improvement programs.
He has actively advanced occupational therapy practice and legislation in Utah, including co-authoring SB 131 and HB 188. As an educator and lecturer, Brown has provided continuing education to tens of thousands of clinicians nationwide through conferences, private clinics, and specialty programs.
His professional and teaching interests include joint arthroplasty, core stability, clinical documentation, aging, functional mobility and gait, ethics, postural alignment, fall prevention, and geriatric rehabilitation. He also contributes to the profession as a peer reviewer for Topics in Geriatric Rehabilitation and a guest reviewer for the American Journal of Occupational Therapy.
