Tracy Brazg BA, MSW, MPH, MA

racy Brazg received her BA from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and completed the joint MSW and MPH program at the University of Washington in 2008. She also completed an MA in Bioethics at the University of Washington in 2014, and participated in a clinical bioethics fellowship program at Seattle Childrenʼs from 2013-2016. Her research, teaching and clinical interests focus on bridging the field of social work with bioethics and healthcare.

She is particularly interested in developing methods for improving interprofessional collaboration in healthcare settings, as well as in training medical social workers to participate meaningfully in ethical deliberation. Tracy is currently working on her dissertation which examines how medical social workers utilize their training, knowledge and skills to integrate into interprofessional teams and to promote the goals of patient-centered care.

In addition, she works as an on-call ethics consultant at University of Washington Medical Center and Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, and in October 2016 she was named Assistant Director of the University of Washingtonʼs Center for Health Sciences Interprofessional Education Research and Practice.
