Tracey Titus, RN, CCHP-RN, CCHP-A, is the senior director of policy and accreditation for Centurion, LLC. Ms. Titus has been a registered nurse for 30 years, with 27 spent in correctional health care. Prior to joining Centurion, she served as vice president of accreditation for the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) where her responsibilities included overseeing the accreditation program for nearly 500 facilities nationwide and the oversight and continued development of the NCCHC surveyor program. She also guided and organized revisions for NCCHC’s Standards for Health Services in jails, prisons, and juvenile facilities; Standards for Mental Health Services in Correctional Facilities, and is a member of the task force for the revision of NCCHC’s Standards for Opioid Treatment in Correctional Facilities. She published frequent columns in NCCHC’s quarterly publication, CorrectCare; presented regularly at health care and custody conferences nationwide, including keynote presentations, and implemented accreditation software. Ms. Titus also serves as a correctional nurse expert witness.
