Tracey A. Milligan is Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Neurology and Distinguished Clinician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, Emerson College, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed a neurology residency at Harvard Neurology, Brigham and Women’s, and Massachusetts General Hospitals and previously served as Program Director for this residency. She completed an epilepsy fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Academy Fellowship in Medical Education at Harvard Medical School.

She is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. She was previously the Neurology Clerkship Site-Director at BWH and is now the Chair of the Neurology Clerkship Directors at Harvard Medical School. She is the Co-Leader of the Partners Center of Expertise in Medical Education. She is the former director of the Spanish Neurology Clinic. She teaches in several courses at Harvard Medical School: Mind Brain and Behavior, the Developing Physician I and II, Medical Spanish, Pharmacology, and Into the Blue Yonder-Preparing for Internship.

She is the Associate Editor of Neurology for AAMC MedEdPortal and a Member of the Board for the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is an award-winning educator with awards from the American Academy of Neurology, Harvard Medical School, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her scholarly interests include neurologic education and simulation, transitions in care, difficult-to-treat seizure disorders, young adults with epilepsy, and teaching in inpatient and outpatient settings.
