Dr. Toru Suzuki is currently Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at University of Leicester and Honorary Consultant, Cardiology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. He has received MD, PhD degrees from University of Tokyo. His research interesta are are centred on understanding the mechanistic basis of cardiovascular diseases with a special interest in translational aspects. Notably:aortic diseases, cardiovascular biomarkers/proteomics. His current memberships include Japanese Circulation Society, Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, Japanese Society For Biomedical Mass Spectrometry (Council member), Human Proteome Organisation (HUPO) Cardiovascular Initiative.
