Tor D. Tosteson ScD

Tor D. Tosteson, Sc.D., a Geisel professor of community and family medicine and of The Dartmouth Institute of Health Policy and Clinical Practice, has been selected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. He Tosteson began his career as a statistician at the US Census Bureau. He received a doctorate in Biostatistics from Harvard University. Prior to coming to Dartmouth, he spent 5 years on the faculties of the Harvard Medical School at the Channing Laboratory and the Harvard School of Public Health in the Department of Biostatistics. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association in 2014.

His statistical methods work has focused on measurement error for generalized linear models, linear mixed models, and ROC curves; noncompliance in surgical clinical trials with longitudinal data; and terminal trend models for an end of life studies.
