Tommi Vatanen is a human microbiome expert specializing in the dynamic gut microbiomes in early childhood. He has a strong interest in understanding the microbiomes’ connection to autoimmune disorders and the role of fecal microbiota transplantations in therapy. His training covers stool sampling, laboratory protocols, DNA sequencing, computational analysis, and knowledge transfer. He is experienced in working with multidisciplinary teams, including experimental microbiologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, and clinicians.
