Tommaso Tonetti MD

Dr. Tommaso Tonetti, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. He studied Medicine in Padua (Italy) and Heidelberg (Germany); he obtained a Degree in Medicine in 2012 and the Specialty Diploma in Anesthesia and Intensive Care in 2018. After being a research fellow in Intensive Care at the University of Göttingen (Germany), he is now an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and staff intensivist at the University of Bologna Policlinico di Sant?Orsola (Italy). His main research interests are the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment (also by means of extracorporeal techniques) of acute respiratory distress syndrome and ventilator-induced lung injury.
