Prof. Tommaso Maria Manzia is appointed as Associate Professor and Consultant in HPB and Transplantation at the University of Tor Vergata, Fondazione PTV, Rome, Italy. Since 2012, he has been a PhD in Transplantation at Tor Vergata University in Rome. After completing a Fellowship in HPB and Liver Transplantation at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham UK (2005-2008), he was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Experimental Medicine and Surgery at Tor Vergata University.
Prof. Manzia is certified with the Scientific National Qualification as a Full Professor in Surgery and has been a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery since 2009. He has special interests in Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery. He authored and co-authored about 110 articles and chapters in the HPB and Transplantation field, and has given presentations at numerous national and international conferences. As a Consultant Liver and Pancreatic Surgeon, he led more than 200 Liver Transplantations and Liver Resections.
