Tom Baladi PhD

Tom Baladi was awarded his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 2016 following his work on the design and development of selective small-molecule kinase inhibitors at the Paris-Saclay University. For his second post-doctoral fellowship, he joined 2018 the Wilhelmsson research group at Chalmers University (Gothenburg, Sweden) as part of the FoRmulaEx platform, a Swedish industry/academia consortium. He now focuses on the synthesis of fluorescent nucleobase analogs and their incorporation into various nucleotide-based modalities for in vitro imaging, to enable studies of drug-delivery systems. His work is performed at AstraZeneca Gothenburg, another active member of FoRmulaEx.
