Todd M. Ratliff, BS, CCP, FPP, RN, is a member of the Cardiovascular Perfusion Department at The Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital. After receiving his Associate's Degree in Nursing from Hocking College, he went on to The Ohio State University’s Circulation Technology Program where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Allied Medicine/Perfusion Technology. Todd began his career with Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 2001 as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive care unit. In 2003, Todd transferred to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and also became part of the Mechanical Circulatory Support team. With his continuing interest in perfusion technology, Todd attended The Ohio State University Circulation Technology Program in 2009. From there, he went on to join the perfusion staff at Nationwide Children’s Heart Center, where Todd focused on pediatric and congenital heart disease and pediatric mechanical assist devices. His research interests focus on the development of improved techniques and strategies for providing extracorporeal support and mechanical assist devices. Todd has authored and co-authored several publications, as well as presented to audiences on his research. Todd is an active volunteer for the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology (AmSECT). Served as a member of the nominating committee in 2015 & 2016 and chairman in 2017.
