Dr. Todd C. Villines is a Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. Clinically, Dr. Villines is the Director of Cardiovascular Research and Cardiac CT programs and the Cardiology Fellowship Program Director at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He is an Active Duty Colonel in the United States Army Medical Corps.

Dr. Villines is an active clinician, award-winning teacher and clinical researcher in the areas of cardiovascular imaging and prevention. Dr. Villines is the immediate Past-President (2017-2018) of the Society of Cardiovascular CT (SCCT) and in addition, serves on the Annual Scientific Meeting Program Committee and the Corporate Relations Committee. In addition, Dr. Villines is the immediate Past-Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Federal Cardiology Section and the current Chair of the ACC Imaging Council. He is the immediate Past President of the Greater Washington (DC) Region American Heart Association.

Dr. Villines completed undergraduate training at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY where he graduated with honors as a Distinguished Graduate. He completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, and his Internal Medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Villines is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Cardiac Computed Tomography and Advanced Adult Echocardiography. Dr. Villines is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He has won numerous teaching awards and has been recognized as a Master Clinician at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
