Toby Hodges PhD

Toby Hodges started his academic career studying Biochemistry at the University of Manchester, then Biotechnology at the University of York. He made the switch to Bioinformatics when beginning his PhD studies, undertaking a project centred around analysis of high-throughput DNA sequencing data. He worked for three years in a core facility providing bioinformatics support services, then moved to EMBL in April 2015, where he coordinates the Bio-IT project as a member of the Zeller Team. He has been teaching programming since 2011, and a certified Software Carpentry Instructor since February 2016.
