Tobias Baeuerle is Professor of Radiology and senior attending physician at the Institute of Radiology, University Medical Center Erlangen. He is head of the institution’s translational imaging lab PIPE. Dr. Baeuerle studied Medicine at the University of Heidelberg (Germany), Baylor College (Houston, TX) and University of Louisville (Louisville, KY). The residency in radiology was completed at the University of Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Center (Heidelberg, Germany). Since 2013, he is a German-board certified radiologist.
Dr. Baeuerle authored 55 peer-reviewed articles and 10 book chapters, and edited one book since 2004. In 2010, Tobias Baeuerle received the Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen Award of the German Radiological Society. His research is focusing on multiparametric and multimodal techniques in musculoskeletal imaging. A particular research interest is dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging of bone and bone marrow. He lectures regularly at scientific and medical meetings around the world.
