Tiziana Frusca MD

Tiziana Frusca, MD was born in Brescia, Italy, in 1954. She is Head of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit, at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Hospital of Brescia and she is an Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Brescia since 2005. Since 2009 she is the coordinator of the Maternal-Fetal and Pediatric branch of the doctorate school at the University of Trieste. She is Director of the univeristy research center " Centro per la prevenzione delle patologie perinatali e tutela dela materntà2 and membre of the scientific committe of "Centro salute donna". Director of the School of Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology University of Parma.

Tiziana Frusca Medical Degree was at the University of Milano in 1978 and Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialization at the University of Milano in 1982. She initially worked at the District Hospital of Manerbio for 6 years, Since 1986 she has been working in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospital in Brescia. During these years she developed her interest in Materno Fetal Medicine, particularly in hypertensive desease, intrauterine growth retardation, medical complications in twins, alloimmune diseases. and fetal infection. She has been an active part of numerous Italian and international clinical trials.

Tiziana Frusca is the author or co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has been invited to more than 200 National or International Conferences. She has been Vicepresident of the Italian Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology for 4 years and coordinator of the Medicolegal group of the same Society and is a member of various national and international societies, such as the Society of Fetal Maternal Medicine, (SFMF) International Society for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy (ISSHP) and the International Society of Ultrasound in Gynecology (ISUOG).
