Dr Timothy M. Bateman, M.D. is Co-Director of Cardiovascular Radiologic Imaging, Saint-Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultants, P.A. and the Mid America Heart Institute, Kansas City, MO and is Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a Past-President of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, current President of the InterSocietal Commission for the Accreditation of CT Laboratories, a Board Member of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission, and a Board Member of the American Board of Internal Medicine – Cardiovascular Diseases. He is an editorial consultant for eleven major medical journals and has authored/co-authored over 500 book chapters, peer-reviewed publications and abstracts. He has been honoured with numerous awards, including “50 Best Doctors in Kansas City” in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2009, and 2011 and the Distinguished Service Award of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology in 2005. His practice commitment and research interests are focused on appropriate utilization and optimization of cardiac imaging technologies for answering major clinical questions.
