Timothy Lapham, MD, CWS-P, is a wound care specialist serving patients at NOVA Wound Care, PC, in Fairfax and Eastern Shore Nassawadox, Virginia. Dr. Lapham is dedicated to applying his expertise to help patients recover from the physically and emotionally taxing experience of diseases. Dr. Lapham received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. After completing graduate courses at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College, he received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond. Dr. Lapham then completed surgical residencies at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and Inova Fairfax Hospital in Annandale, Virginia. Through his training in general surgery, he quickly found his calling in wound care.

For Dr. Lapham, the most satisfying thing about his work at NOVA Wound Care, PC, is that he can provide solutions for patients who were told there was no hope. He finds joy in providing much-needed care to patients who were once left anxious and distraught by their disease. The scope of his practice includes treatment for pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, vascular ulcers, traumatic wounds, burns, non-healing post-surgical wounds, radiation-induced wounds, wounds complicated by morbid obesity, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, and cancer. Dr. Lapham is also an expert in caring for complex wounds in pediatric, geriatric, and hospice patients. Dr. Lapham is certified by the American Board of Wound Management. He is a member of the American Board of Wound Management and the American College of Surgeons.
