Dr. Legg has nearly 30 years of experience in the provision of mental health care to individuals across a variety of settings including personal care facilities, nursing homes, inpatient psychiatric units, facilities for the care of persons with neurodevelopmental disorders, outpatient community mental health, dual-diagnosis, intensive outpatient, transitional housing, inpatient detox, and prisons. He has held a variety of positions including staff nurse, unit manager, psychiatric nurse practitioner, psychotherapist, drug and alcohol counselor, clinical supervisor, clinic director, and clinical consultant. Dr. Legg is both a licensed psychologist and a licensed/board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner in private practice in the upstate New York area. He is also certified as a Master Addictions Counselor through the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals. He provides a combination of psychotherapy and medication management services to individuals who struggle with psychiatric/mental health issues. Dr. Legg also provides medication-assisted treatment for individuals who struggle with addictive disorders and telepsychology services for individuals who live in remote areas who otherwise would be unable to access psychological care and services.

In addition to his formal academic training, Dr. Legg has completed training in rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute, New York, and has earned the designation of master psychopharmacologist through the Neuroscience Education Institute, Carlsbad, California. He engages in ongoing education in the area of Modern Psychoanalysis through the Colorado Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Training, New Mexico.
