Timothy E. Hewett BS, BA, PhD, FACSM

Timothy E. Hewett PhD, FACSM, is the recently appointed Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Director of Biomechanics and Director of Sports Medicine Research. He was previously at Ohio State University where he was the director of research for OSU’s Sports Health & Performance Institute as well as a tenured Professor in the Departments of Physiology and Cell Biology, Orthopedic Surgery, Family Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, and the School of Health Science. He has a doctorate in Physiology and Biophysics and post-doctoral fellowships in Molecular Biology and Biomechanics.
