Tim LeBon is an experienced UKCP Registered psychotherapist who has trained in a number of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), existential therapy and philosophical counselling. He studied P.P.E at Oxford, gaining a first class degree, and then took an M.Phil at London University in Philosophy Ethics and Ancient Philosophy. Tim was one of the pioneers of the philosophical counselling movement in the UK and wrote his first book, Wise Therapy (Continuum) in 2001.
He now has a private therapy, counselling and life coaching practice in Central London and works part-time in the NHS as an IAPT High Intensity CBT Psychotherapist.In addition he lectures at City University and the City Lit, London, in their adult education programmes. His second book, Achieve Your Potential with Positive Psychology, was published in June 2014 by Hodder. Tim was a founder member of the Modern Stoicism team and has a particular interest in exploring the nature of the good life, developing an evidence base for Stoicism and integrating practical philosophies like Stoicism with modern evidence-based practices such as CBT and Positive Psychology.
