Tim Eglinton is a consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon and Associate Professor in Surgery with the University of Otago.He is a course convenor for the 4th Year SEGO (Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, Oncology) module, and teaches 4th to 6th year medical students.

Associate Professor Eglinton is an elected member of the RACS New Zealand National Board, member of the RACS Surgical Skills Training Committee and the Training Board in Colon and Rectal Surgery.His research interests include Crohn’s disease, colorectal cancer, and diverticular disease.
