Tim received his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Western Australia in 2004 with honours. He spent his junior medical career at Royal Perth Hospital including rotations to Swan Districts, Bunbury and Kalgoorlie. In 2010, he moved to Victoria and undertook advanced training in medical oncology at Geelong Hospital (Barwon Health) and at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

After practicing medical oncology across Victoria, regional New South Wales and Queensland, Tim returned home to Perth in 2014, working initially at Royal Perth Hospital and Rockingham General Hospital. Deciding to concentrate fully on private practice, Tim left these positions to join GenesisCare in Joondalup in 2017. He also consults at St John of God Hospital in Subiaco and elsewhere.Tim is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), a member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA), and a member of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA). Tim has completed a doctoral thesis on lung cancer
