Prof. Dr. Med. Tilman Todenhofer is a specialist in urology with further training in drug-based tumor therapy. His focus is on the treatment of patients with tumors of the prostate, urinary bladder, and kidney. Prof. Todenhofer completed his medical studies at the University of Freiburg. He then completed further training as a specialist in urology at the University Hospital of Tübingen. From 2014 to 2015 he worked as a scientist and scholarship holder of the German Cancer Aid at the University of British Columbia at the renowned Vancouver Prostate Center. He has received numerous awards for his scientific work in the field of prostate and bladder cancer, including the John Blandy Prize, the Alken Prize, and the Maximilian Nitze Prize, the highest scientific award of the German Society for Urology, which is awarded for outstanding scientific achievements in experimental and clinical urology. He completed his habilitation on the subject of bladder cancer in 2016, and in 2019 he was awarded the title of extraordinary professor by the University of Tubingen.

Before working in the urology study practice, Prof. Todenhöfer headed the study center and chemotherapy outpatient clinic at the urological university clinic in Tubingen. Prof. Todenhofer is the author and co-author of more than 150 scientific publications. He also works as a reviewer for numerous scientific journals. He is a member of the DGU's Urological Research Working Group and a board member of the International Bladder Cancer Network (IBCN).
