Tiffany N. Lowe Clayton (a.k.a Dr. TLC) is the Vice-Chair of Family Medicine and Director of Clinical Site Engagement and Development at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lillington, North Carolina. She is also an obesity medicine specialist at WakeMed Bariatric Surgery and Medical Weight Loss with practices in both Cary and Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. Additionally, she is the Founder and CEO of the Institute of Transformational Health and Wellness, Inc., in Wendell, North Carolina.
She earned her medical degree in 2000 from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey, where she also completed an internship and residency in family medicine in 2003. Dr. Lowe Clayton also earned a Master of Health Professions Education from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2022 and a certification as a health equity champion in 2024. She is dually board-certified in family medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Lowe Clayton is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), the American Osteopathic Association, the Obesity Medicine Association, the North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association, the North Carolina state society of the ACOFP, the North Carolina Obesity Society, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She currently sits on the board of trustees for the Obesity Medicine Association, the Obesity Treatment Foundation, and the North Carolina Obesity Society. She is also a former trustee of the North Carolina State Association of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association.
A consummate teacher at heart, Dr. TLC is the author of the best-selling book, “A Woman’s Guide to De-Stress for Success: 10 Essential Tips to Conquer Stress and Live At Your Best.” She has also presented at numerous professional conferences and is a frequent medical contributor both on air and in publications including Obesity Pillars, Good Housekeeping, U.S. News & World Report, Black Doctor.Org, and Shape Magazine.
