Tiffany B. KIndratt, Ph.D., MPH is an assistant professor in the Public Health Program, Department of Kinesiology, College of Nursing and Health Innovation at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, TX. She is Director of the Health Services Research Laboratory and conducts research focuses on predisposing (e.g. race and ethnicity, specifically Arab Americans) and enabling (e.g. patient-provider communication, patient experience) factors that influence morbidity, mortality, and individuals’ use of health services. By using sources such as large national databases of health surveys, smaller community-based surveys and interviews, and education and training of healthcare providers, she seeks to understand how different groups experience their health services compared to others and uncover health disparities among underrepresented minority groups.
