Tiffani Mcdonough MD

Dr. McDonough is interested in the neurology of newborns and their development. In particular, she is interested in how neurological injury before or during birth may impact an infant or young child’s development.

Dr. McDonough’s research has focused on understanding how brain cooling (hypothermia) impacted the outcomes of infants who suffered traumatic birth (hypoxia, or decreased brain oxygen at birth, which can lead to seizures and cerebral palsy).

While her training and research has focused on epilepsy and seizures related to birth injury or critical illness, Dr. McDonough enjoys taking care of patients with a variety of neurological issues, and working closely with their families.
