Tiago Bilhim MD, PhD, EBIR-ES, FSIR, FCIRSE

Tiago Bilhim got his Medicine Degree in 2004 and finished his internship in Radiology in 2011. He also obtained the European certification in Interventional Radiology (EBIR – European Board of Interventional Radiology) in 2011. In 2011 he received his Ph.D. Degree in Radiology with the dissertation: “Prostatic artery embolization in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia – anatomy-clinical study”.

From early on he showed interest in teaching, being Monitor Professor and Invited Assistant of Anatomy (from 2000 to 2012) and since then he is an Invited Assistant and Invited Assistant Professor of “Clinical Imagiology and Anatomy” and “Advanced Basis of Medical Imaging” at Faculdade de Ciencias Medicas of NOVA Medical School.

Dr. Tiago is currently an Interventional Radiologist at Saint Louis Hospital and CUF Tejo, in Lisbon. Along with his professional activity, there is also his important participation in the academic environment. He is Associate Editor for the Acta Radiológica Portuguesa (ARP) and Section Editor of Embolization for the Journal Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR).
