Thomas Stringer MD

Thomas Stringer, MD, has been practicing urology for over 40 years. He earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and completed his internship and residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Afterward, he pursued a fellowship in urologic oncology at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

For 30 years, he practiced urology as managing partner and president of Citrus Urology Associates while serving as vice president of Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. In 2011, he returned to Gainesville full-time as the medical director of the Department of Urology. He now serves as an associate professor within the department at the UF College of Medicine, where he treats general urology conditions like prostate issues, erectile dysfunction, and urinary tract infections. In 2015, he served as interim chairman of the department of urology and now serves as associate chairman.
