Dr Thomas Semple is a cardiothoracic and paediatric radiologist, working between the Royal Brompton and Great Ormond Street hospitals, in London. He gained an interest in paediatric thoracic and cardiac imaging whilst working with Dr Catherine Owens at Great Ormond Street hospital and is currently undertaking an MDres degree at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, under the supervision of Professors Simon Padley, Claire Hogg and Jane Davies.
His research interests include the application of respiratory MRI techniques to paediatric imaging (particularly Fourier decomposition and oxygen-enhanced ventilatory imaging), CT imaging of childhood interstitial lung disease, complex congenital heart disease and paediatric CT dose optimisation.
