Biography :

Tom S. Davis, CRNA, MAE, is the former Chief of the Division of Nurse Anesthesia at The Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and former Chief CRNA at (Baylor) Scott and White, Main OR in Temple, TX. Col. Davis, USAF (Ret.), is well-known throughout the Nurse Anesthesia industry for his leadership in clinical anesthesia, including developing the first distance education model while on the graduate faculty at Kansas University Medical Center.

At The Johns Hopkins, Mr. Davis spearheaded the redesign of the CRNA annual performance review and implemented a merit-based bonus system. Also at Hopkins, he developed and taught management skills to a group of selected CRNAs. He is on the AANA Professional Practice Advisory Board, is a regular contributor to the AANA Newsletter and was a 2015 faculty member of the AANA Fall Leadership Academy. Recognized for his ability to work across department lines and for team-building and value-based hiring, Tom is a sought-after speaker, an educator, writer and author, a leadership trainer for Third River Partners and an anesthesia provider.
