Thomas R. Cheezum OD

After graduating from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1978, Dr. Cheezum was in private practice for 35 years. Since selling his practice in 2013, he has worked in a multi specialty medical practice providing medical eye care to a high risk Medicare aged patient base. He is a past member of the Virginia Board of Examiners in Optometry and past recipient of both the “O.D. of the Year” and “Distinguished Achievement" awards of the Virginia Optometric Association. He also does consulting work in the areas of record keeping, billing, coding and practice compliance with various government programs. He is also an AAPC Certified Professional Coder and a Certified Professional Ophthalmology Coder.
