Thomas Lecuit is a cell and developmental biologist who profoundly renewed our knowledge of the information underlying cellular organization and dynamics during tissue morphogenesis. His work, recognized internationally, has contributed to the emergence of a new field of research at the interface between cell biology, genetics and physics: the mechanobiology.
