Dr. Kolzau achieved his diploma and PhD in biology in the field of cancer research, at UKE Hamburg, Germany, and he spent his post-doctoral fellowship (1996-1998) for Beiersdorf AG, Hamburg, Boehringer Mannheim, Penzberg and the Otago Medical School, New Zealand.
