Dr. Payne is a UW professor of medicine and attending physician in the General Internal Medicine Center at UWMC-Roosevelt.
Dr. Payne earned his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and his M.D. from the University of Washington. He served as an intern and resident in internal medicine at the University of Colorado. For 30 years, he has been a general internist providing personalized primary care and hospital care. He also serves as UW Medicine's medical director of information technology services and is interested in how information technology can better help support patients and health professionals.
