Teresa Seefeldt PharmD, PhD

Teresa Seefeldt is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy. She received her Pharm.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from SDSU. She teaches in the area of pharmacology and was the recipient of the College of Pharmacy Teacher of the Year award in 2006 and the South Dakota Board of Regents Excellence in E-Learning Award in 2007. Oxidative stress is her main research focus area with particular emphasis on thiol modifications in oxidative stress states. Her current research projects involve the regulation of the thiol redox state in cardiomyocytes, the development of models of thiol oxidative stress in cardiomyocytes, and thiol modifications in cancer.
