Theodore Giavridis PhD

Theodoros Giavridis is a biotechnology and cell therapy scientist with deep expertise in synthetic biology, CAR biology, and translational research. He currently serves as Head of Preclinical R&D at OverT Bio, where he leads preclinical strategy and innovation efforts focused on advancing next-generation therapeutic platforms.

Before joining OverT Bio, Giavridis held multiple leadership roles at Mnemo Therapeutics, including Associate Director of Cell Therapy and Principal Scientist – Team Lead for SynBio & CAR Biology. During his tenure, he led cross-functional research programs spanning engineered cell therapies, in vivo biology, and emerging technologies, contributing to the advancement of novel immunotherapy approaches from discovery through preclinical development.

Giavridis earned his Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. His scientific background combines rigorous academic training with industry leadership in translational biotechnology, with a focus on bridging innovative biological engineering with therapeutic application.
